Unsurprisingly, the ice cube business is booming. What is less imagined is that the ice cube that the waiter pours into your glass has traveled a lot before reaching your mouth.

The mercury is rising, the demand for ice cubes explode. In Millau (Aveyron), it was more than 32°C this weekend, so on all the tables, very cold glasses. A small cube of freshness, but a very big business. A company near Paris manufactures non-stop. France imports ice cubes

Some buy on the spot, like a bartender and a trucker gone for a long journey: 15 euros for 10 kg. Others are delivered or use distributors, more and more numerous. Customers are multiplying: restaurants, caterers, events, fishmongers, individuals. As a result, France imports ice cubes.
