Within two weeks of his meeting with the club’s general manager, Farid Al-Atrash performed a concert in a large pavilion built by Orabi, the artist’s agent at the football stadium. It generated income for the club amounting to about 100 thousand pounds, at that time, and Farid and his band refused to receive any financial sum.

Farouk Jaafar, the former Zamalek club player, said that he received the first 100 pounds in his life from the late singer Farid Al-Atrash as a gift.
