The health condition of workers who were poisoned in the 6th of October City incident has stabilized, and the investigation authorities listened to their statements, after they left the hospital.

The workers said in the investigations, that they returned from work and 3 of them went to a restaurant and bought 3 casseroles, after which they went to a cafe in the same place and ate a meal.

And they added, that they returned home and felt severe fatigue, and they and their colleagues who died, minutes later their colleagues lost consciousness, at the time when they made a call to the ambulance that transported them to the hospital.

And they continued, that one of the deceased did not eat with them from the meal they bought, as he was inside the house, while they were at the cafe, eating food.

The Public Prosecution Office in October 6 city decided to release the owner of a restaurant after he was accused of killing two people and injuring two others in a case of poisoning, after they ate a meal from the restaurant, due to insufficient evidence.

The Public Prosecution is continuing its investigations into the incident, to clarify the causes of death of the workers, as it awaits the forensic report, which will determine the causes of death in detail.

In the investigations, the owner of the restaurant denied using spoiled goods, stressing that meals were prepared for human consumption, and many customers ate meals from the restaurant and did not suffer from any poisoning.

The detectives conduct intensive investigations to ascertain whether the meal they ate from the restaurant was the reason for their injury or not, and a report was issued regarding the incident, and the prosecution was notified of the investigation.

The Giza Security Directorate received a report stating that two people were killed and two were injured as a result of eating a meal from a restaurant in the 6th of October City. Two of them died after being taken to the hospital.
