According to the latest Henley Passport Index, the Singaporean passport tops the list of the “most powerful passports” with visa-free access to 192 destinations, while Japan has dropped to third place this time. Taiwan ranked 31st, well ahead of China’s 63rd. DPP legislator Wang Dingyu said today (19) that 31 vs. 63 means one country on each side.

According to the latest 2023 ranking of the Henley Passpor Index, the Singapore passport occupies the top spot, allowing visa-free access to 192 destinations. The second place is Germany, Italy and Spain, with 190 destinations visa-free entry.

Japan, which took the top spot with Singapore last year, fell to third place this time, and is tied with 6 countries including Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, South Korea and Sweden. Citizens of these 7 countries do not need to apply for a visa in advance to travel to 189 destination. Taiwan ranks 31st with 144 visa-free destinations, tied with Macau and Panama. China and Bolivia rank 63rd with 80 visa-free destinations.

Wang Dingyu said that passports are the identity documents for people of various countries to go abroad. One has 31 people and the other has 63 people. Of course, they have different passports and people from different countries. This is a basic fact.

I like those who belong to the same country as the 63 people. Taiwan is actually a free country that is open to immigration. It’s good to move there by yourself. You don’t have to drag 23 million people to accompany you down to 63 people. “31 vs. 63 is one country on each side.”
