The Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemns the bombing of the tourist resort in the Iraqi province of Dohuk: it constitutes a clear threat to civilians

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned “the attack on the sovereignty of brotherly Iraq, and the bombing that targeted a tourist resort in the city of Zakho, in the Iraqi governorate of Dohuk, on Wednesday 20/7/2022.”

The ministry added: “This violation constitutes a clear threat to the security of civilians, as it led to the death of a number of them and the wounding of others.

It is also considered a targeting of the security of Iraq and the stability of its people, and a violation of all international covenants and laws.

Emphasizing its standing and solidarity with the Iraqi government and people, it extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, and prays to God for a speedy recovery for the injured.
