The LG Oled Flex will be available in October for around $3,000

Unveiled at IFA 2022 in Berlin in early September, the LG Oled Flex TV with its 42-inch flexible panel is the equivalent of an LG 42C2 with an adjustable stand (height over 14 cm and tilt between – 5 and +10°) and a motorized curved flexible slab. LG took advantage of the CEDIA 2022 show in Dallas to announce the availability of the LG Oled Flex for the month of October at a fairly high price of $3,000, which is probably as much in euros with taxes. That’s three times the price of the LG 42C2 TV, which currently sells for around €1,000. This LG 42LX3 television/monitor comes to compete with the Samsung ARK 55the huge Samsung monitor with its 55-inch curved panel sold at the same price.

The LG 42LX3, which features an Oled panel displaying Ultra HD definition and a native refresh rate of 120 Hz, is compatible with FreeSync and G-Sync. Of course, it benefits from all the qualities of the Oled (infinite contrast, instantaneous response time, etc.). A button allows you to quickly switch from a flat slab to a curved slab on a tight radius of 90 cm (900R). By default, three settings are offered: flat (0%), 50% and 100%, but it is possible to customize the radius in 5% increments. The advantage of this system is to have a flat screen to watch a film, a series, a sporting event or even television, then to switch to curved mode when playing (close enough to the screen) in order to favor the immersion.
