The complainant claimed that she was seriously injured in the physical assault and demanded a compensation of 1,00,000 dirhams. In the complaint, the woman said that she was working for her sponsor in Al Ain and while doing housework, the sponsor’s wife beat her up and she got fatally injured in the beating. He was beaten in the face, eyes and chest.

The court had earlier found the sponsor’s wife guilty in the case. They were fined 2000 dirhams. After this, the beaten up woman filed a case against the employer demanding compensation.

The court ordered to pay compensation to the brutally assaulted young woman, observing that she was 20 percent disabled and would be ill for the rest of her life. The court observed that both the eyes of the young woman were injured in the beating and her vision was affected.
