Help to Ukraine

Joe Biden has ordered a $400 million military aid package for Ukraine. It included, among other things, four HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems mounted on a wheeled chassis, ammunition for them and artillery shells.

Denys Shmygal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, said that the US Agency for International Development will provide Ukraine with a $1.7 billion grant. It is planned to be used for healthcare purposes. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also announced that the country would send more than $368 million in additional humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Vladimir Zelensky gave an interview to CNN. In it, he suggested that by the end of the year Ukraine would be able to end the hostilities.

“If powerful weapons from our partners come to us in time and if luck and God are on our side, we can achieve a lot,” TASS quoted the Ukrainian president as saying.

Diplomacy

Zelensky dismissed the ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk. He had previously become famous thanks to sharp criticism of German politicians – Melnik considered their assistance to Ukraine insufficient. Ukrainian ambassadors to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Norway and India were also fired.

Anthony Blinken held talks with Wang Yi, the Chinese foreign minister. According to Bloomberg, according to their results, Blinken said that China supports Russia despite statements about its neutrality. According to Blinken, China’s support is evident during UN meetings and in Chinese state media publications.

In the Kursk region, the increased level of terrorist threat was extended until July 23.

A number of statements related to the sanctions were made by Vitaly Savelyev, head of the Ministry of Transport. Abstract:

  • Russian airlines will not use counterfeit parts when servicing foreign-made aircraft;
  • Aeroflot and S7 have no problems with aircraft insurance, it is carried out according to the plan;
  • Russia offered foreign partners to confirm the safety of aircraft operation, but did not receive a response.
