CNN in Arabic contacted Palestine TV and the Palestinian Ministry of Information for comment without a response at the time of writing this report.
The case is not d. Muhammad Al-Issa nor the sermon of Arafa, but the issue is the pilgrimage itself. Al-Issa said in the sermon of Arafa: “Good manners in “General Description” is a value common to all people, appreciated by the Muslim and others, as it is a rational behavior in speech and action. ٱدۡفَعۡ بِٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَحۡسَنُ فَإِذَا ٱلَّذِي بَيۡنَكَ وَبَيۡنَهُۥ عَدَٰوَةٞ كَأَنَّهُۥ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٞ )، وفي مواجهة الجهل والسفه يقول سبحانه: (خُذِ ٱلۡعَفۡوَ وَأۡمُرۡ بِٱلۡعُرۡفِ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ)، كما قال سبحانه: (فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ) والمعنى: Beware that they take you to a polemic and its consequences.”
وأضاف خطيب عرفة قائلا: “والمسلم “براسخ قيمه” لا يلتفت لجاهل ولا لمغرض ولا لعائق، مستصحباً قول الله تعالى: ( وَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ ٱللَّغۡوَ أَعۡرَضُواْ عَنۡهُ وَقَالُواْ لَنَآ أَعۡمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمۡ أَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَا نَبۡتَغِي ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ). كما يعلم المسلم أن منازلة أولئك تسهم في Their mention, and the success of their project, which is what they are happy with, and indeed many of them rely on it, but the dangers of fraud are exposed, just as obvious abuse is addressed, and all of this is driven by the wisdom of Islam,” he said.
