Al-Nasr and Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo explained the meaning of the “Siu” shout during his goal celebration.
“It seems to have become a global phenomenon – and I love it when I see other players doing it, or they send me videos of people playing other sports or children repeating the goal celebration – it’s great,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying by FourFourTwo. “Siu means ‘Yes!’, it’s quite simple but with a strong message.”
Ronaldo moved to Al Nasr at the end of December 2022. The salary of the 38-year-old Portuguese in the Saudi club is 200 million euros. His contract runs until the summer of 2025.
Ronaldo has made 16 appearances for Al-Nasr in the Saudi Arabian Premier League, scoring 14 goals and providing 2 assists.
He previously played for Manchester United, Juventus, Real Madrid and Sporting CP.
