The face of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population Preparing an integrated study to establish an integrated center for psychological treatment and addiction treatment, to become a basic focal point for the treatment of those who are unable, in accordance with the Ministry’s strategy to improve the public health of citizens.
This came during his weekly meeting, yesterday, Monday, with the ministry’s leaders and heads of agencies, and with the participation of all the ministry’s undersecretaries in the governorates via the “video conference” technology, to follow up the progress of work in the various files of the ministry, and to identify challenges and obstacles to overcome them, to ensure the continuation of providing the best medical services to patients.
During the meeting, the minister was briefed on the work plan of the secretariat Psychological health Addiction treatment for the year 2023, which includes levels and types of services developed in all services provided by the Municipality (community services, services provided remotely, health programs and initiatives), in addition to the construction and development plan, stressing that the plan is consistent with international standards and the goals of sustainable development 2030.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the minister was keen during the meeting to review the secretariat’s plan for establishing centers of excellence for the treatment of autism spectrum, as it is scheduled to establish 20 centers in the governorates of the republic within 5 years, directing the speedy completion of the establishment and opening of these centers. Pointing out the provision of training for service providers on detecting and treating the autism spectrum.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the meeting dealt with reviewing the executive plan for training workers in citizen service offices in hospitals, which aims to receive citizens and work to solve their problems and complaints, referring to the work in 4 stages that include all the governorates of the Republic, successively, through theoretical lectures and workshops at the Princess Academy. Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the minister directed quickly to prepare an integrated plan for automation and digitization for all sectors and bodies of the ministry to start implementing it with the concerned authorities, especially the monitoring and follow-up sector, to ensure the sustainability of the health system’s follow-up and its periodic evaluation, to identify shortcomings and work to solve them, in addition to holding courses Training for all follow-up teams from the concerned authorities in the Ministry.
