The Mongkok snack shop “Chuanya under the Bridge” illegally expanded its business scope 4 times, and its license was suspended for 21 days.

The FEHD said today (18th) thatThe operator of a snack restaurant in Mong Kok was temporarily suspended by the Director for 21 days for illegally expanding the scope of business and repeatedly violating the “Food Business Regulations”.

The shop is called “The Bridge House” and is located at Shop A, Ground Floor, Carrie Building, No. 14-18 Tong Mi Road, Mong Kok. It will be closed from today (18th) to March 10th.

The spokesperson of the FEHD said that the relevant shop operator was convicted by the court four times in November last year for the above-mentioned violations and was fined a total of $17,000. The department also scored 60 points for the licensee according to the demerit point system. Therefore, the shop had to suspend the license for 7 days and 14 days successively, and the enforcement continued.

The spokesman reminded licensees of food premises to comply with the Food Business Regulation, otherwise their licenses may be suspended or cancelled.
