Speedrunner MitChriz completed Elden Ring in 12.5 minutes and set a new world record. The recording was posted on his YouTube channel.
The use of a glitch called zipping helped to cope with such a time – it allows you to teleport around the map and avoid fights with bosses. The previous record was set by another speedrunner named Distortion2 – first he managed to complete the passage in 19 minutes, and then in 14 minutes. In both cases, he also used the zipping glitch.
The release of Elden Ring took place on the night of February 25th. The game is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
