The ONMT in Brazil to promote the campaign “Morocco, Land of Light”

The Moroccan National Tourist Office made a stopover in São Paulo (Brazil), to meet the prescribers of the largest tourist market in Latin America, as part of the last leg of a tour to promoting Morocco as a destination in Hispanic and Portuguese-speaking countries.

This concludes the “Light Tour II” which presented the new international communication campaign “Morocco, Land of Light” in Portugal, Spain and Brazil, in company with the partners of the National Confederation of Tourism (CNT) and the regions .

The event was marked by the presence of Nabil Adghoghi, Ambassador of Morocco to Brazil. “Representatives of the main Brazilian airline LATAM, the Portuguese company TAP, the most important tour operators in Brazil as well as the press were also at the rendezvous,” said a statement sent to Yabiladi.

The Brazilian tourist market represents significant growth potential, thanks to a pool of consumers with strong purchasing power and a middle class which is gradually expanding”, underlined the same source, adding that “during the last years , the number of Brazilian tourists doubled in Morocco, going from around 25,000 visitors in 2015 to more than 50,000 in 2019”, before the Covid-19 health crisis.

“Paris, London, New York and now Lisbon, Madrid, São Paulo, the Light Tour is now establishing itself as an event in its own right and one of the fundamental tools for promoting the ONMT thanks to which Moroccan and international operators maintain a permanent link to boost Morocco as a destination,” said the Office.
