The Patras Art Festival is coming for the fourth consecutive year on June 29 and 30, 2024 – 2024-05-02 13:43:35

A full two days where Patras is expected to be illuminated by culture and art! The PAF returns again this year bringing art closer to the public with a theme “Get Closer”! The leading cultural event of the city, which has been loved by the public and critics since the first moment of its creation, will be hosted this year in its premises Tank Project and his Art Evolutionwith visitors having the opportunity to attend a variety of activities and events such as dance performances, concerts, crafts, dj sets, silent disco, and take part in educational seminars.

The PAF is a multidimensional and multicultural event, which combines various arts and expressive forms, with the main concern of familiarizing the public with the art of dance, movement and the body as a part of expression and creation. Its purpose is the contact of people with the art of dance and music, as well as the connection with the body, free from stereotypes and discrimination emphasizing the educational dimension, offering seminars aimed at various age groups and people with disabilities. The Patras Art Festival provides universal accessibility for all to culture, enabling all social groups to participate in its actions.

This year’s event has a title “Get Closer”, as stated by the festival’s artistic director Irini Apostolatou, offering the public the opportunity to experience the diversity of PAF and explore the various aspects of art through productions and actions that will awaken new, unprecedented emotions. Eit is an experiential approach that only if you live it you will taste it in all its aspects!

In PAF 4, we will see 6 dance productions that combine diverse elements!

At June 29in her place Tank Project, we will enjoy 6 dance productions from Greece and abroad, including “Rupture Persephone” by Athanasia Kanellopoulou, “From innocence to innocence” by Julian Bulku, “Strata” by Sylvia Katsaros & Antonia Zagoritis (Animaterra company), “Noi ” by Kalia Mavroftis & Panagiotis Tasoulis, “Var. 5” by Georgia Nikolopoulou and “In repeat” by Art evolution studio in Patras choreographed by Irini Apostolatos. After the shows, the program includes a silent disco party with Christos Sotiropoulos & Christina Kratemenou on the decks.

Of course, the musical element will not be missing from the festival on June 30 we will have the opportunity to enjoy two different live performances by Goodbye Bedouin & Fonoptikon.

At June 29 there will be a modern dance seminar with Athanasia Kanellopoulou and a dance seminar for children aged 8-13 with Katerina Kaima in the multipurpose hall Art Evolution .

The festival will be framed by a photography exhibition, dj sets, craftspeople with beautiful artistic creations and educational seminars!
