The recent success of “Wordle” reminds us that word games are not about to lose the game.
In 2014, numbers made a sensational appearance in online video games with “2048”. In 2022, it is the turn of letters to make a decisive irruption in the digital playful universe with «Wordle». Appearing last November, this new distraction was designed by developer Josh Wardle. He wanted it free – like “2048” – but it was bought at the price of several million a month ago by the “New York Times” which seeks to capture this massive enthusiasm translated by millions of users.
