The President’s Health Adviser: We are witnessing a decline in Corona cases… and Omicron has reduced its ferocity

He said Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El DinAdviser to the President of the Republic for health and preventive affairs, said that Egypt has begun to witness a decrease in the number of cases infected with the Corona virus, and this has become noticeable in relation to the official figures announced, and that the absorption of hospitals is witnessing a decrease, as well as in cases of intensive care.

Awad Taj El-Din added, in a telephone interview to the “Hadrat Al-Citizen” program with the media, Sayed Ali, that Egypt is considered in the siege phase for severe cases infected with Corona in the previous period, adding: “We are much better than other countries in the world, but vaccinations must be increased with vaccines, Spreading national awareness to abide by the precautionary measures.

And he continued, “Omicron has reduced its ferocity than other types and other mutant coronas, and we hope that the coming period will witness a further decline of this disease.”

With regard to the family development strategy, which aims to control rapid population growth rates, Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din explained, “I was honored to be in the previous period in discussing the issue under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and attended various meetings, until we arrived today to announce this strategy.”

He continued, “We have a large reserve of goods and there is no problem with it, and Egypt established many modern silos to accommodate the wheat in the previous period, in addition to the state’s interest in providing a good reserve of medical supplies, and all these efforts are in the interest of caring for the Egyptian family in the future.” What we hope is that every family is satisfied with two children or one child, in order to accommodate the population increase, so that this does not affect the share of every citizen, as well as health, educational and recreational services and the national income.”
