Today, Monday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, emphasized the speedy approval of the budget.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, at the Baghdad Palace, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani,” noting that “during the meeting, they discussed the overall political, security and economic conditions in Iraq in general, including the situation in the Kurdistan region.
The statement added, “During the meeting, there was talk about the government’s ministerial program and the need to support it to ensure the provision of the necessary services to citizens in a way that achieves their aspirations for a decent life.” infrastructure in all provinces.
He continued, “The conversation also dealt with opening the door for investments and the importance of supporting the private sector to be a catalyst in strengthening the economy, especially after the security and economic stability that Iraq is going through.”
The statement indicated that “the President of the Republic and the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan discussed the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan region,” pointing out that “the two sides stressed the importance of serious and transparent dialogue to resolve outstanding issues and strengthen the relationship between the center and the region, in the interest of all Iraqis.”
