Mamdouh Abdullah, a member of the Gold Division of the Federation of Industries, said that the gold industry is greatly affected in Egypt, calling on the state to work to protect the industry, as they suggested setting fees on gold bars, especially with the increase in demand for their purchase.

And Abdullah added, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Amr Adib, on the “Al-Hekaya” program, broadcast on the “mbc Egypt” satellite channel, on Sunday evening, that the manufacturers evaluate workmanship and do not evaluate gold prices, explaining: The division has absolutely nothing to do with pricing, we work with raw gold. We harvest raw and we take workmanship, we bear a lot,” pointing out that the citizens’ desire to buy bullion affected the workers in the gold workshops.

Regarding the proposal to impose fees on gold bars that protect the national industry, Mamdouh Abdullah, a member of the Gold Division of the Federation of Industries, said that the proposal achieves the interests of workers, in light of the successive problems and continuous losses that this sector has faced since 2011.

Mamdouh Abdullah, a member of the Gold Division of the Federation of Industries, stressed that if Egyptians abroad are allowed to bring specific quantities of gold from abroad, it will not affect the situation of manufacturers or the gold market locally, noting that this sector needs support for gold exports in light of the tough competition they are engaged in. the outside.
