The Real Madrid Foundation approves the accounts for the 2021-2022 financial year

The Real Madrid Foundation, under the presidency of Florentino Pérez, approved this Tuesday the accounts corresponding to the 2021-2022 season, during which more than 75,000 people and their families were attended to in more than 930 schools, projects and education programs, integration and development cooperation in more than 90 countries.

As reported by the Madrid team, during the meeting of the entity’s Board of Trustees held at Real Madrid City, it was announced that during the past season 464 socio-sporting projects were carried out in 71 countries, 144 of them at a national level, to attend to more than 50,000 minors and their families, almost 11,000 of them in Spain.

In addition, the Foundation carried out 474 clinics, campuses and educational sports programs such as the ‘Football Program’, in 34 countries, in which more than 25,000 children and young people from the five continents participated.

Similarly, the charity’s omnichannel educational content platform ‘Sport&Values ​​Academytv’ reached 25,000 registered and the training area gave 1,104 webinars, workshops, courses and seminars on education in values ​​through sport, in online and face-to-face format, in in which 4,364 people from all over the world participated.

Another point of the meeting was the impact of the ‘Everyone with Ukraine’ campaign, in which Real Madrid, through the Foundation, donated more than one million euros to alleviate the effects of the Russian invasion, a contribution 1.2 percent of the total activity of the Red Cross, 25 percent of CESAL, 30 percent of the Salesian Missions and 88 percent of the ‘Epicenter for children’, the entity’s partners on the ground, in this emergency. The funds went to food and medicine as well as blankets, beds and other basic necessities.

Finally, it was detailed that in this season that has just begun, the 25th anniversary of the Foundation will be celebrated, which, during this time, has benefited more than 1,230,000 minors and their families, with more than 1,500,000 people among direct beneficiaries, people trained in the unique methodology of the entity and families served, whose lives have improved thanks to its work on five continents, using sport as a vehicle for education, development cooperation and social inclusion.

For this reason, the Board of Trustees of the Real Madrid Foundation approved an Action Plan that guarantees the sustainability of the projects inside and outside of Spain, and contemplates the celebration of events on the occasion of this anniversary.

Likewise, the renewal of the EFQM quality seal, the creation of the Equality Plan and the use of digital conversion to promote the solidarity of Madridistas, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, have been highlighted.
