The rivalry between forwards Brendan Gallagher of the Montreal Canadiens and Tim Stutzle of the Ottawa Senators is not new.
For years, Gallagher has accused Stutzle of diving on the ice and feigning injuries when hit.
Last night, while the CH was in Ottawa to face the Sens, this rivalry continued with full force. In the third period, with the score 5 to 1 in favor of the locals, Gallagher attacked his opponent and even threw down his gloves to try to fight with him.
Stutzle obviously declined the invitation and calmly left the stage.
After the meeting, the main party revealed what the Canadian player had said to him on the ice.
“I don’t know what his problem is but he’s always following me. But honestly, I don’t care. We were leading 5-1 and I had no reason to fight with him. He said I was afraid of him but I see him completely the opposite.”
