Arupatai houses are the six temples located in different parts of Tamil Nadu of the deva army commander Subrahmanya. Arupatai houses are also mentioned in Tamil Sangha literature. They are Tiruthani, Swamimalai, Pazani, Pazamuthircholai, Thiruparakundam and Tiruchendur. Panchamritham, Palabhishekam, Paninirabhishekam, Kalabhabhishekam, Bhasmabhishekam etc. are favorite offerings to Subrahmanya. Taking Kavadi is also special.
