The Samsung Galaxy S8 FE tablet shows its innards on Geekbench

While Galaxy S22 FE seems to have been canceled by Samsung, such is not the case with the Galaxy Tab S8 FE. The next tablet from the South Korean company has appeared on Geekbench, which allows a glimpse of its power.

It’s Snapdragon, it’s Exynos

For its Fan Edition model, Samsung would have skipped its in-house SoC, as well as that of the American founder. The choice would have fallen on MediaTek with a Kompanio 900T chip. A rather original decision by Samsung, since the Kompanio range is generally intended for laptops and Chromebooks. Is this a desire to make the tablet more than a “simple” tablet? Highly possible. Obviously, everything will run on Android 13 – even if it must be admitted that with this kind of chip, Android 12L would have been appreciated – and 4 GB of RAM would be allocated. As specified GSM Arenait is quite possible that more RAM will be available on other variants of the tablet.

GalaxyClub, the site behind the discovery, indicates that the version that appeared on Geekbench is a 5G model and that a wifi-only version should be included, just like with the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. To see if this wifi version will keep the Kompanio 900T chip or if Samsung will opt for another Taiwanese SoC.
