Failure to wear the mask will result in a fine of Rs 1,000 for the first offense.

Penalties will be doubled for repeated violations of preventive measures. In case of repeated violations, the maximum fine may be up to 1,00000 (one lakh) riyals. The ministry said the fine was aimed at preventing and limiting the spread of Kovid infection for the safety of individuals.
