A Russian flag slumped behind a tinted window: it is the last symbol of what was the heart of the oil power of the Kremlin in Geneva. Above a Louis Vuitton store, the building at N^o 2, place du Lac, has long housed the Geneva offices of Rosneft, the leading producer of Russian crude. Its boss, Igor Setchin, Vladimir Putin’s right-hand man, sometimes took up residence on the terrace, in a glass office overlooking the harbour.
