The Brussels firefighters were called this Sunday morning, at 9:36 a.m., to control a fire that had broken out on the roof of a building in rue Haute, in Brussels; building which includes a Lidl on the ground floor and four floors of apartments. “It was the ventilation unit of the supermarket that was on fire. The spread of fire to the apartments could be avoided. There were no injuries. All evacuated occupants were able to return to their apartments. The supermarket will have to check the electrical installation of its ventilation unit,” said Walter Derieuw, spokesperson for the Brussels fire brigade.
