Live on CNews in the show “L’Heure des Pros”, the 76-year-old artist took the opportunity to share his thoughts regarding the competing news channel.
“I’m mad.” The tone is set. Originally invited this Monday, November 6 on CNews to react to the book Michel Sardou, Truths and Legends from our colleague Florent Barraco, the artist took the opportunity to voice his discontent. And it was aimed directly at the competing 24-hour news channel and its boss.
The singer begins his new tour after four years of absence. For the occasion, BFMTV directed by Marc-Olivier Fogiel – partner of the event – devoted a report entitled Michel Sardou, confidential retracing the artist’s journey. The channel chose, as an illustration for this documentary, a photo of Michel Sardou younger, giving the finger.

And as with all its programs, it broadcast the visual of the upcoming show at the bottom right of the screen. “The news is the war, the massacres and the storms which devastated entire villages, […] people who are up to their necks in shit and I’m underneath giving the finger.”he was offended live on Pascal Praud’s “L’Heure des pros” show.
“They’re stupid!”
“I called five times saying that it can’t be done, especially since it’s a stolen photo”, he insisted before explaining the context in which the photo was taken. The singer was in Saint-Tropez with his friend Johnny Hallyday. And this gesture was actually addressed to the rocker after Michel Sardou’s victory in a poker game. “At some point you have to calm down, they’re stupid!”annoyed Michel Sardou.

His interlocutor then tried to reason with him by claiming not to want to get angry with “his excellent colleagues”. Neither one nor two, the 76-year-old singer took advantage of the opportunity to add a layer. “They don’t like you at all huh […] They look at the audience charts and don’t like you at all. So I don’t like them anymore either.”he told the CNews presenter who feigned surprise.
The singer continued by emphasizing that the 24-hour news channel was not really his partner for his performances. “I did a show with Ruquier which was rubbish, I did an interview with the newspaper… which was not bad”he admitted before resuming his plea. “You don’t put a guy like me giving the finger under the President of the Republic, it’s not possible […] whatever my thoughts on politics are”declares Michel Sardou very seriously.

On Pascal Praud’s side, the atmosphere is more joking. “Michel, I would like to say that I completely dissociate myself from the comments that were made on this channel. I absolutely do not share them”, he insisted, with a smile on his face. Words that did not please the interpreter of Love sickness. “Hey, a little bit of balls, you know very well that they don’t like you!”, he got annoyed. Behavior which only increased the laughter on the set of “Heure des pros” on CNews. But for Michel Sardou, no turning back is possible. “It’s over now, I won’t do anything more for them. They are no longer partners, they are nothing.”
