The ultimate Carnival Party “The Disco Partizani Years!” with the internationally renowned Shantel opening the curtain of the three-day climax of the Patrinos Carnival 2024 on Friday, March 15 at 9:30 p.m. in George I Square, it is just around the corner.

In the big open concert, organized for the world by the Municipality of Patreon and KEDIP-Carnival of Patras, Shantel and Bucovina Club Soundsystem join forces with Koza Mostra and dj Spery in store for a unique Dionysian party.

The top concert date of the Patrinos Carnival is given shortly after the first appearance of this year’s Patrinos Carnival floats on the streets of the city, and the music of the Balkans will have their due.

Shantel, a leading figure of the Balkan dancefloor, an award-winning “world music” artist, started as a DJ in German Clubs, and quickly realized that “there was a current” for pure Balkan gypsy tunes played by brass bands. He introduced them to his rousing dj sets that bore the signature “Shantel Bucovina Club”. And so, the traditional music of the Balkans invaded the European dancefloors. A representative example is the success of “Disco Partizani”. With him is the great “Bucovina Club Soundsystem”. German DJ, producer and fine musician and singer, he is famous for his work with Roma brass bands and mixing traditional Balkan music with electronic beats.

Koza Mostra, the most important and representative ethnic-rock band of the last decade in Greece, combines ska, punk and rock music together with the style of Balkan folk, such as rebetiko. A key feature of their concerts is the energy they bring out on stage, something that stirs up even the most “difficult” audiences, creating a party at every performance.

Dj Spery is a pioneer of Balkan music in Greece, with activity inside and outside the borders for the last 14 years. DJ and producer, he combines the traditional sound of brass with the modern beats of the Electro World scene. Creator of the Balkan Extravaganza Show since 2010, he has toured in Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Serbia, Sweden, Russia, etc. playing not only in clubs but also participating in festivals alongside artists such as Goran Bregovic, Manu Chao, Gogol Bordello, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Boban i Marko Markovic, Locomondo, Imam Baildi etc.
