The worrying video published by NASA on climate change

Humanity is facing a global crisis as a result of climate change. The changes that the planet is undergoing have ceased to be mere scientific hypotheses to become an undeniable reality that affects all corners of our planet. However, there are those who still do not believe in this phenomenon.

In an attempt to raise awareness about climate change and its consequences, the NASA released an animation that visually demonstrates the level progression of the ocean through the years.

“Although the exact heights of the oceans vary due to local geography, climate over time, and fluid dynamic interactions with gravity and planetary rotation, scientists look at sea level trends by comparing measurements to a 20-mean spatial and temporal reference years,” says the NASA.

These representations seek to visually demonstrate the scope of this phenomenon. “These visualizations use the visual metaphor of a submerged porthole window to observe how much our oceans between 1993 and 2022”, clarifies the statement from the North American organization.

“This visualization looks at the change in global mean sea level through a circular window. The blue mark on the ruler shows the exact measurements from the integrated altimeter data oceanic multimission for climate research”, they explained in the document
