Théo Gmür strikes again at the Paralympic Games in Beijing. The Valaisan who had won three gold medals in PyeongChang in 2018 won his first medal in China. He finished third in the downhill, behind Frenchman Arthus Bauchet and Austrian Markus Salcher. He is 1”25 and 0”92 seconds behind these two skiers respectively.

Théo Gmür performed well, especially since he was injured shortly before his major competitions. Asked for the site Olympics.org, he says that: “I had an injury to the left knee, a mini-crack in the internal meniscus two weeks before the Worlds, and it was not optimal. Not to mention the pressure during each race. »

The Haute-Nendaz skier will have the opportunity to fight for other medals. He will still participate in the super-G (March 6), combined (March 8), giant slalom (March 10) and slalom (March 12).
