They announce that payment of bonuses will be made in parts of 25%

They pointed out that in this way they can “anticipate” inflation.

The coordinator of the Central Bolivariana Socialista de Trabajadores, Leonardo Caraballo, indicated that from next week the payment corresponding to the workers’ year-end bonus will be made, according to the agreement reached at the dialogue table between workers and authorities of the National Executive.

During an interview with Unión Radio, he asserted that this agreement to pay in advance in four parts will give workers the possibility of “anticipating” to acquire different products and combat inflation.

“By law, the payment of the Christmas bonus is due in the last week of November and the first week of December. In this case, 25% will be advanced, next week, another 25% at the beginning of November, 25% at the end of November and the last one on December 15 (…) The payment for this year will be according to the Law of Labour, as it should be, and to collective contracts» detailed the coordinator.

The amount stipulated for this year-end bonus is the result of the integral salary multiplied by 120, which corresponds to the number of days established by the different institutions and collective agreements.

Faced with the possibility of a price increase by the commercial sector, Caraballo urged consumers to report irregularities and the authorities to impose exemplary sanctions against such actions.

“Workers as consumers have to start protesting, rejecting and denouncing. And it is up to the State to apply the law, sanctions against unscrupulous merchants who take advantage of the volume of cash on the street to increase prices.
