They capture five members of armed groups south of Bolívar

The military troops continue to be deployed in the state and have dismantled illegal miners’ camps.

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) continues to be deployed in Bolívar state, where -in different operations- the uniformed officers detained five alleged members of criminal gangs, whom they hold responsible for committing different crimes in said areas.

In the first procedure, they captured two members of “the Organization”, who had uniforms and war material in their possession.

They also seized ammunition, two portable radios, a cell phone, and a pistol holder.

The general in chief, Domingo Hernández Lárez, strategic operational commander of the Fanb, informed through his social networks that the military have continued the work of tracking and locating armed groups, thus, they were able to dismantle illegal mining structures. installed in national parks and forest reserves protected by the State, which “disrespect territorial ordering and degrade the environment,” he said.

Three other members of “El Tren de Guayana” were arrested in the south of the entity, and are accused of engaging in illegal mining, kidnapping, robbery and extortion.

The military personnel collected 59 high-explosive packages, 11 rolls of detonating cord and another 11 electrical detonators.

The subjects were transferred to the area command number 62-4 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), remaining at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
