As reported, the company carried out an operation in the private neighborhood “Las Golondrinas”, located at kilometer 31.5 of the Buenos Aires-La Plata highway. There, it was verified with a public notary that 41 homes did not have meters to record consumption, of which 13 were completed houses and 28 were under construction.

“When corroborating the crime, the technicians proceeded to cut the clandestine connections and the cables of the anomaly were removed, since they had not been installed by Edesur personnel. The public notary drew up the corresponding minutes”, they specified from Edesur, through a statement.

As the distributor clarified, people who live in the neighborhood should go to the Edesur offices to request a meter.

“The theft or robbery of energy is contemplated within the crimes of the Penal Code. It should be remembered that when an unprepared person manipulates the network illegally, they can suffer damage to themselves, to third parties, and cause damage to their neighbors’ homes, by generating ups and downs in tension,” Edesur remarked, concluding that clandestine connections also affect the quality of service for customers in the area.
