An official, attached to the Iribarren Municipal Police (PoliIribarren), was injured in the 21st race with the 29th street, in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara state.
The official, according to the journalist Delmiro De Barrio, struggled with a young man, who tried to snatch his firearm, which is for regulatory use.
A video captured the moment when the policeman was in front of a commercial establishment, when the boy appeared and inserted his hand where the weapons were located.
Moments later, the citizen was injured in the leg, De Barrio indicated on his social networks.
The suspect fled the site. But the official’s colleagues caught him soon following.
