Thierry Neuville, very disappointed: “The wheel suddenly locked… It’s been four rallies and four problems!”

Second on the road at Rallye du Portugalfourth round of the WRC season, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) had managed to settle in second place in the event. It was without counting on a mechanical problem in the 8th special, which saw him tumble to seventh place.

“Everyone saw that we had mechanical problems again. We lost a transmission because of that. We finished the last two stages in propulsion. We have to give up on victory again. We were well started, we had a great day, probably the best choice on the tire strategy too. In the end, it doesn’t pay off again”explained, disillusioned, Neuville to our microphone.
