Thiruvananthapuram: A Plus Two student was found hanging inside her house. The incident took place at Thiruvananthapuram cemetery around 4 pm on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ananya, 18, daughter of Thanniyath Vijayan and Sindhu.
At home, the family first heard an unusual noise from inside the girl’s room and knocked on the door but it did not open. Ananya was then found hanging from a hook near the ceiling fan when the family and locals opened the door and entered.
He was rushed to hospital but died later. Police say Ananya had tried to commit suicide before. It is not clear what caused the suicide. On Sunday, Pangode police will search Ananya’s room in detail. Ananya was a Plus Two student of Bharathannur Govt. Higher Secondary School.
