This is how you make a delicious vegetable strudel

Strudel dough: basic recipe

You need:

  • 250 grams of flour
  • 125 grams of lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt

That’s how it’s done:

1. Knead all ingredients well in the food processor.

2. Form the dough into a ball, grease it with a little oil and wrap it in cling film. Let rest for 30 minutes.

Recipe for our vegetable strudel

You need ffor the filling:

  • 500 grams of mixed cooked vegetables
  • 250 grams of potatoes boiled and cut
  • 2 Owner
  • 150 grams of sour cream
  • Salt, pepper and nutmeg
  • Fresh or dried herbs (marjoram, parsley, thyme) General
  • 40 grams of melted butter for brushing
  • Non-slip flour for rolling out

That’s how it’s done:

1. Mix all the ingredients for the filling and season well. Let the mixture stand for a moment so that the potatoes can absorb the liquid a little.

2. Halve the dough and roll it out a little on a cloth with flour.

3. Gently pull the dough into a rectangle in all directions with your hands.

4. Spread the thin dough with melted butter and spread the vegetable filling on top.

5. Fold in the sides and use the tea towel to form a strudel.

6. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with melted butter. Bake the strudel at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.

7. For the sauce you need 250 grams of sour cream, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar, salt, pepper and chopped herbs. Mix all ingredients well and season to taste. Complete!
