Thomas Müller Ranks Third in MLS Jersey Sales Behind Messi and Son

Thomas Müller ranks third in Major League Soccer jersey sales for the 2026 season, as Bild reported.

Müller Drives Strong Jersey Sales and Merchandise Trends

  • Vancouver Whitecaps Roster Value: Müller’s commercial pull drives strong jersey sales for the club.
  • Fantasy Outlook: With 9 goals through 33 regular-season matches, the veteran attacker has been productive this season.
  • League-Wide Merchandise Trends: The German attacker out-sells several marquee global stars.

Vancouver Whitecaps Lead the Western Conference as Müller Drives Retail Sales

Entering his second year with the Vancouver Whitecaps, the 37-year-old German attacker occupies the third spot in official league-wide jersey sales for 2026. Bild reported that the milestone makes Müller the first Vancouver player to crack the top sales list since Alphonso Davies achieved the feat back in 2018. Lionel Messi of Inter Miami anchors the top of the chart for the fourth year, followed by Los Angeles FC’s Heung-min Son.

The commercial success mirrors a stellar campaign on the pitch for the Canadian franchise. After 33 regular-season fixtures, the Whitecaps sit atop the Western Conference standings with 61 points. Müller has contributed directly to that run with nine goals, cementing his status as a massive commercial asset for the club.

German Stars and Rising Talents Shape the Top Ten

Müller is not the only German-born player capturing attention across North America. Hany Mukhtar of Nashville SC secured the ninth spot in the league’s top-ten jersey sales. Bild noted that Mukhtar surpassed 100 MLS goals including playoffs in September and currently boasts 17 goals alongside eight assists in the ongoing campaign. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski of Chicago Fire lands directly behind Müller at number four following his summer move to the franchise, while Antoine Griezmann rounds out the top five for Orlando City SC.

Philadelphia Union’s 17-year-old sensation Cavan Sullivan also claims a spot at number six on the merchandising list. Sullivan captured the league’s Player of the Month honors in September and recently became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the United States national team during a 3-0 victory over Mexico.
