The omicron variant is present in Barranquilla. This Saturday the District Health Secretary confirmed that two of the cases are local residents and a case corresponding to a foreigner with lodging in the city.
They assured that patients are recovering without no complication.
The Secretariat assured that Barranquilla has indicators of pandemic control stable with a variation in the last seven days in positivity.
Currently, this indicator is at 15%, while the hospital uses and intensive care units with covid-19 patients are at 0.4% and 3.4%, respectively.
So far in the month of December of last year there were nine days with zero deaths because of the virus.
