On May 20, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer released the first trailer for the upcoming film,Three thousand years of desire” directed by George Miller (“Mad Max”, “Witches of Eastwick”). The film stars Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba.
According to the plot, an English literary critic during a trip to Istanbul buys an old vessel at the bazaar, and in the hotel she discovers that this is a lamp of a real genie. The ancient spirit offers the woman three wishes, but the strong and independent heroine assures that she is completely satisfied with life and does not want to change anything. But what an inquisitive scientist really needs is the stories that the genie has accumulated in order over three thousand years.
And now the magical creature begins his long story, just over and over again he fulfilled people’s desires, striving for freedom, but again and again he ended up in a lamp. At the end of the story, the main character will definitely have her own desire.
The trailer shows that the film is filled with breathtaking filming and special effects. It will have a lot of magic and historical scenes. And, of course, the brilliant game of Tilda and Idris.
A movie like this should only be seen. In America, the premiere is scheduled for August 31, 2022. There is no need to talk about the release date in Russia yet.
