Thursday Weather Bulletin: Dry Atmosphere, Sunshine Breaks, and Moderate Northeast Winds

2023-08-16 16:58:00

The bulletin for this Thursday, August 17, 2023

The atmosphere will continue to dry out as pressure rises in the North Sea advecting more continental air. However, watch out for the formation of low clouds at the end of the night. They will be quite widespread early in the morning on the country. The sun will break through faster over Hainaut-Flandres before spreading to Brabants, then to the southern provinces above a veil of cirrus clouds. Clearings will again alternate with cumulus fields except at the sea where the sky will be quite clear.

In the afternoon, it should look like this Wednesday with alternating sunshine and cumulus fields with the risk of a last shy cloud on our eastern borders. Then, the sky will tend to clear near France while the clouds will be more recalcitrant north of the capital and the Ardennes relief. The wind will remain moderate from the northeast and the maximum will reach between 21°C on the summits and 26°C on the west. The following night will be starry everywhere.
