Inside his office in Al-Rabab City in October Gardens, a broker felt hungry. The first thing that came to his mind was to order a quick meal from a nearby popular food restaurant, “Koshari Shop”, to satisfy his hunger, but a bloody end was present in the city with its quiet streets.
Over the phone, the owner of a real estate office asked for a meal from the restaurant, “Send me food,” but the response was contrary to his expectation, “We don’t have food.. Pay the old one,” referring to his procrastination in paying the value of the food he eats.
Sparks flew from his eyes, and his body temperature rose, amid a wave of anger on his face, so he headed to the nearby restaurant. A relationship of reproach turned into a threat and a promise that took place between the broker and the restaurant staff, ending with his insistence, “I will come back to you again.”
The broker sought the help of his two friends, and the three of them headed to the restaurant, raising the flag of war. A sharp verbal altercation developed into a quarrel that prompted a worker to grab a knife – used to cut onions – to stick it in the chest of the owner of the real estate office, injuring his friend.
A few minutes were sufficient for the gathering of the owners of the nearby shops and passers-by, and after them the police, who imposed a security cordon at the crime scene, in implementation of the directives of Brigadier General Muhammad Amin, Chief of Investigation in the October Sector.
The examination of Colonel Ahmed Najm, Inspector of the October Gardens Brigade, confirmed that a real estate broker was killed by a stab wound to the chest, and that his friend was injured, who was transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The investigations of Major Farid Moaz, Head of the October Gardens Investigation Department, showed that a verbal altercation broke out between (the first party), the owner of a real estate investment company, a broker, his two friends, and the workers of a Koshari store (the second party); for refusing to deliver a meal to his office.
According to the investigations of Major Mohamed Fahmy, Senior Associate of October Gardens Investigation, the quarrel intensified between the two parties, and one of the restaurant workers stabbed the broker in the chest, wounding one of his two friends with a knife.
After legalizing the procedures, Captain Amr El-Beblawi, Associate Investigator of October Gardens, was able to seize the accused and the tool used in the crime, and Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Assistant Minister of Interior for the Giza Security Sector, referred him to the Public Prosecution, and ordered Counselor Diaa Najm, head of the October District, and Counselor Mohamed Abu Zaina, director of the October Prosecution Office , imprisoned the accused and authorized the burial of the body after the autopsy.
