TomTom GO Navigation has added a new feature for trucks, especially for Android users, which allows route maps to be customized according to the specifications of the entered vehicle.
Route plans take into account dimensions, cargo, dangerous goods and more, while route lists identify points of interest, including fuel stops, rest areas and parking for trucks.
It all builds on the app’s existing features, such as lane change guidance, live traffic as well as an information bar showing details such as next stops on your route, danger and restrictions.
About 25% of truckers use smartphone apps for navigation, and company data suggests that most truckers use the Android operating system.
