Triathlon – On you and you with real top athletes in Hawaii

At the beginning of the week, the two people from southern Burgenland, Erich Tüll and Chris Janics, landed safely at Vienna/Schwechat Airport. A lot of impressions and even more sore muscles with them, because the two recently completed the notorious Ironman in Hawaii, which is something of a Mecca for endurance athletes.

“It was tough,” the two breathed through and added: “Of course we’re proud to have started with such top athletes.”

Part of Ironman history

The sporting performance was then more than just something to be proud of. Erich Tüll finished 329th with a time of 10:57.02 hours (20th in the men’s class from 50 to 54), while Janic’s great 107th (10:05.53 hours, and 15th in the men’s class). from 40 to 45).

“It wasn’t just the clock that was our opponent, but also the strong wind and the heat,” they described their impressions and added shots: “But that’s what makes it so appealing there.” The proud look clearly ruled: “We knew the whole thing only from the media – now we are a part of it forever.”
