Stream lovers, mark your calendars! TwitchCon Europe, a convention bringing together content creators and fans, is coming to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles on July 8 and 9, 2023. On the program, streaming, video game tests and meetings!

After Berlin and Amsterdam, the TwitchCon Europe arrives in Paris! There convention european dedicated to streamers Twitchthe live content distribution platform ofAmazonwill pass through France in 2023 to the delight of fans, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles July 8 and 9. An announcement made by Twitch Francethis February 16, 2023.

The salon thus receives streamers and others content creators, as well as their fans for shows ranging from cosplay to video game streams, including drag queen shows, concerts and other DJ sets. Also on the program is a “epic tribute to the streamers, games, chat people, moderators, cosplayers, communities… that bring us all together“, explain Twitch in a blog post. And to continue:It’s a weekend filled with incredible live performances, esports competitions, official meet and greet sessions with streamers, presentations of artistic creations and, as everything happens live and in public, many surprises.“.

A show born in the United States in 2015, taking place there every year, untilAmazon decides to export its convention to Europe in 2019. But the Covid having been there, it is not easy to relaunch the show, which has only had two editions in Europe for the moment. The last edition, in Amsterdam, only attracted 14,500 visitors. Honorable for first editions, but far from the 30,000 visitors to the TwitchCon in the USA.

And a Parisian choice that is not insignificant… And for good reason: the platform took advantage of the confinement, in 2020, to double its audience in France, despite a slight drop in 2021. A great promise therefore, and a show which could, in the long term, impose itself on the whole continent!
