At 4:00 a.m. today (6 Oct. ’23) Typhoon “Koinu” in the upper South China Sea area. It is centered at latitude 21.8 degrees north, longitude 118.2 degrees east, with maximum wind speeds near the center approximately 120 kilometers per hour. This storm is moving west. At a speed of approximately 15 kilometers per hour It is expected to move close to the southeastern coast of China during 6 – 8 Oct. 2023 and will weaken accordingly.
