Zurich (awp) – The Competition Commission (Comco) would plead according to the Reuters agency on Thursday for an in-depth examination of the dominant position of UBS since the takeover of Credit Suisse. Citing anonymous sources, the agency indicates that Comco had already transmitted its own conclusions on the issue to the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma) at the end of last year.
The competition watchdog assured Reuters that he would take a position once a decision by Finma has been reached, without however commenting at this stage on the content of said position. Finma confirmed to the agency that a review of the situation was underway, but UBS declined to comment.
