LC – 75 (50)

The new convocation of the LPR parliament will have to first of all deal with the restoration of the socio-economic infrastructure, Vodolatsky told Vedomosti. “We must also provide assistance to people who find themselves in a difficult life situation in destroyed cities and regions. These are the issues of obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation, and the recalculation of pensions, and the restoration of housing. The front of work is big,” the deputy said.

According to the deputy secretary of the General Council of United Russia, senator from the LPR Daria Lantratova, with the support of the party, more than 50 laws have already been adopted aimed at integrating new regions into the Russian legal field. This work will continue in the autumn session of the federal parliament, she noted. Now the most active stage of the campaign is ahead in the new subjects of the Russian Federation, Lantratova noted. The lists of candidates for deputies of the legislative assemblies of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were headed respectively by the acting governors Yevgeny Balitsky and Volodymyr Saldo. The Zaporizhzhya United Russia party will also be led to the elections by the secretary of the regional branch of the party Galina Danilchenko and the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov, who took the 2nd and 3rd places in the list, respectively, Kherson – the second number in the list – State Duma deputy, secretary of the regional branch “United Russia” Igor Kastyukevich and the third number – the director of the Novaya Kakhovka bakery Elena Dmitruk.

“There is a clear understanding that we need to synchronize the legislation that has been separated from Russia for 30 years, especially the last eight. It is necessary to bring the local political environment to Russian standards,” Rogov explained.

As in other subjects, the stake here is on the heads of regions, who, moreover, must confirm their powers following the results of the elections, says political scientist Rostislav Turovsky. “Well-known local politicians and public figures known to the electorate were selected for the lists. But there are also federal figures from among those who are actively involved in these regions,” the expert said.

According to a Vedomosti source close to the leadership of one of the regions, the heads of regions usually have more authority in these territories than “ordinary deputies.”

In addition, according to two interlocutors of Vedomosti, close to United Russia, the presidium of the General Council will approve the acting party as the main candidates for appointment to governorships in September. MPs will vote for them after the September elections.
