The Proximus TV channel Pickx+ launches this Friday, September 29, at 11:20 p.m., its new series of debates and documentaries, “.doc”. On the program, social issues (royalty, euthanasia, drugs, slavery, etc.) which spark debates on set, all presented by Malou Vandercammen. The theme of the first episode is quite harsh, since we will have the testimony of Maïté Lonne who was the victim of a child crime network in Liège, when she was around twenty years old. She tells her story during the broadcast of a documentary.
“A company offered me a job interview,” explains Maïté. “It was in a Greek restaurant in Liège. When I went there, there was no job interview. I was directly raped by the person who was there. Afterwards, I was sold in this network for six months. At the time, no other victims crossed paths with another victim. We were between 14 and 22 years old, there were minors in the network. It was at the trial that I learned that there were more than a hundred of us. »

The debate also highlights the role played by social networks in this type of affair. “The head of my network was called the Facebook pimp by the press. He looked at each person’s Facebook profile. Then, he sold us on 2ememain.be. So it wasn’t even a pedophile site. But customers know very well which keywords they should search for. I was sold between two Ikéa tables on 2ememain. » A chilling testimony which will be accompanied on set by Emilie Coomans (Child Focus) and Emmanuelle Vacher (ECPAT Belgium), who will shed their light on this type of facts and the trafficking of human beings for sexual purposes.
