Updates to the Twitter message search feature

Twitter announced on Wednesday that the search feature in private messages has been greatly improved, as it can now search through the content of the conversation and return specific messages containing any keyword that is searched.

Previously, it was only possible to search for people’s names or the names of group chats.

The Verge technology website said that the service will be available in mobile applications on Apple, Android and other systems.

“When tested, the improved search seemed to work on the web as well, in addition to iOS and Android apps,” he added.

However, it does not appear to be looking at messages older than two years, according to the site.
